Pittsburgh Federal Credit Union offers a variety of savings accounts as well as additional services designed to help meet the needs of our members.
Regular Share Account
Your credit union savings are called “shares” since members are owners of the credit union – not merely depositors. Regular Share Accounts require a minimum opening deposit of $25. The dividend rate and annual percentage yield are subject to change every dividend period as determined by the credit union board of directors.
Christmas and Vacation Club Accounts
To help members save for a specific purpose, the credit union offers Christmas Club and Vacation Club accounts. You’ll find that a small payroll deduction each payday will quickly add up to pay for whatever your needs are. Christmas Club accounts are revolving accounts: there is no need to re-open each year.

Share Certificate and IRA Accounts
Share Certificates are available for both regular investment and retirement accounts. Dividends are credited and compounded quarterly on your average daily balance. Rates are subject to change. Contact the credit union for the most current rates.
Individual Retirement Accounts
Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) are similar to regular savings and certificates of deposit; however, they are just for IRAs. They are a great, safe way to save for retirement.
• Available for Traditional, Roth, and Coverdell Education Savings Accounts.
• Certificate dividend rates are fixed for the term of the certificate.
• APY (Annual Percentage Yield) based on the assumption that dividends remain on deposit until the certificate matures.
• Dividends are compounded and posted quarterly.
• Subject to normal IRA regulations and account restrictions.
• Penalty for early withdrawal.
• Funds are insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).
